Ipsos iSay Review: Surveys, Rewards, and Redemption Rules.
Ipsos iSay offers surveys, with separate opportunities for selected live studies and product tests. Before joining, look closely at the reward catalog, verification requirements and waiting periods.
Researched review. I haven’t personally used Ipsos iSay. This assessment draws on the official information and attributed reports linked below.
People who like consumer research and find useful rewards in their local catalog.
Identity verification and redemption holds can affect when rewards are available.
More than one kind of research
Ipsos iSay is the company’s online survey rewards community. Its membership FAQ says joining is free and explicitly cautions against promises of large survey income. A member completes a profile, receives matching opportunities, and earns points toward available rewards. Official membership FAQ.
The everyday experience is still a survey panel: answering product, consumer, and other research questions, with the possibility that your profile is not what a study needs. A recognizable research company is useful for identifying the operator, but it does not make every invitation a paid completion.
There are also live studies and product tests. Those can make membership more interesting, particularly for someone who wants a mix of research formats. They should not be used to inflate the value of ordinary surveys, because expressing interest and meeting initial criteria do not guarantee selection.
Cash and cards can cost different points
| US catalog example | Point requirement | What to compare |
|---|---|---|
| $5 Amazon gift card | 500 points | Useful if it replaces spending you already planned. |
| $5 PayPal funds | 525 points | More flexible than a store card, but a higher point cost at this denomination. |
| Other money-transfer or prepaid options | Varies by reward | Read currency, activation, and merchant restrictions before ordering. |
These examples come from the official US catalog checked for this review. They are not a worldwide conversion rule. Choosing a different country or reward can change both the required points and what is actually available.
The difference is small but practical. If you want cash, judge an invitation against the cash conversion rather than a simpler one-point-equals-one-cent slogan. If you select a store card only because it costs fewer points, make sure you will actually use it without additional spending.
Reward points also have a different status from a completed payment. A balance approaching 500 is not yet a $5 cash transfer, and a reward order is not finished until you can activate and use it. The catalog helps you evaluate the path, not bypass it.
Allow for the redemption holds
The current US redemption FAQ says new members must wait 96 hours after registration before redeeming. It describes a 48-hour wait after an email-address change. Those holds are separate from whether you have accumulated enough points; reaching the threshold does not override them. Official redemption FAQ.
The same guidance describes email delivery and a reward activation link valid for 90 days. It says instant-delivery rewards cannot be changed, canceled, or refunded after ordering. Check the email address, reward type, denomination, and merchant before confirming. For PayPal, the iSay address must be associated with the payment account.
The FAQ markets digital delivery as instant, but also acknowledges orders that remain processing. That is why this review does not turn the word “instant” into a universal payment guarantee. If the order is delayed, check its status and the registered inbox or spam folder, then use member support.
For a new member, distinguish three waits: qualifying for enough surveys, clearing account restrictions, and receiving or activating the reward. A review describing only the last step gives an incomplete picture of how long the first useful redemption can take.
Know the identity requirements
Ipsos’s US identity page describes CLEAR verification using a mobile device, government-issued ID, and photos of the member and document. It says this verification is free and does not require paid CLEAR Plus airport membership. The page warns that declining or being unable to verify may limit member benefits, including redemption. Read the current identity policy.
This is a meaningful signup consideration, not a detail to discover after investing hours. Someone who is comfortable answering consumer questions may still be uncomfortable submitting an ID and selfie to a verification provider. Decide whether the requirement is acceptable before letting a small points balance pressure you into a decision.
The help page identifies name mismatches, duplicate verification use, unsuitable ID, and image quality as possible problems. Use the official account route and ask support if your legitimate details do not match. Do not create a second account or change your identity details merely to force a verification through.
Matching is only the first step
The survey FAQ explains that studies may end early because a participant does not fit the required characteristics or a demographic quota is already filled. It also says most completed-survey points appear within minutes, while some take days because of study details or technical issues. Survey and missing-credit guidance.
Those are different outcomes. Being screened out is not the same as completing a survey whose points have not arrived. When contacting support, identify which occurred and include the six-digit survey reference where available, date, time, and an error screenshot. An identifiable issue is easier to investigate than a general balance complaint.
Do not interpret several notification channels as extra study supply. Email, app, browser, and text settings are ways to hear about opportunities, not guarantees of distinct paid surveys. Choose a notification routine that does not turn a modest rewards account into a constant interruption.
Special studies have their own selection
Live studies
Scheduled interactive research, potentially followed by a video discussion. A qualifying survey comes before final selection.
Product testing
Selected members try a product under instructions and answer follow-up surveys. Initial qualification does not guarantee a product.
How interest is recorded
The official guidance points members to the “Special Studies and Communities” profiling survey.
Ipsos’s live-study help describes confirmation emails with date, duration, joining link, and access code. Treat that confirmation—not merely a screener success—as the point at which you reserve time for the event.
Its product-testing guidance describes shipment notification, package instructions, and follow-up research. The product is part of an assignment. Receiving it does not establish a cash reward or mean the research ends when the package arrives. Read the completion and any return requirements in the actual invitation.
These formats are a genuine reason to cover the panel, but they are not a reason to predict large monthly income. You may spend most of your time with ordinary questionnaires, depending on demand and selection.
Decide whether the conditions suit you
The biggest strength is the ability to understand a specific local reward before participating. The biggest practical barriers are screening, modest point accumulation, and account or identity conditions that stand between a balance and redemption. None of those are resolved simply by the Ipsos name.
If the catalog fits your needs and you are comfortable with verification, a small trial is reasonable. If you need flexible cash immediately, a 96-hour new-member hold and uncertain survey supply make it a poor fit for that deadline. If you want deeper research sessions, express interest in special studies but keep separate expectations for selection.

Ipsos iSay FAQ
Why does $5 PayPal cost more points than a $5 gift card?
The US catalog lists reward-specific prices. In the checked examples, PayPal costs 525 points and Amazon 500; use your current local catalog.
Can I redeem immediately after joining?
The US FAQ states a 96-hour new-member waiting period even if the points threshold has been reached.
Do I need paid CLEAR Plus?
No. Ipsos says its identity-verification process is free and separate from CLEAR Plus airport membership.
Can qualifying for a product test still end without selection?
Yes. The official guidance says initial qualification does not guarantee one of the limited product-test places.
Have I personally tested this panel?
No. This review is researched and does not claim a personal reward or payout.

Compare the work, not just the rewards.
A credible research panel, with redemption conditions worth knowing before joining.
Ipsos iSay is worth considering if its local reward catalog suits you and you accept the verification requirements. Live studies and product tests add variety, but have their own selection process. For everyday surveys, qualification and completion time determine the value. I haven’t tested the panel personally.
